When I was a kid my dad would always ask in an irritated voice, “Why do you always have to play semantics?”
I know being semantic has a pretty negative connotation, mostly because most people communicate loosely and value social flow over exact meaning. Constantly correcting other people’s wording or logic can definitely make them feel challenged or exposed.
Albeit, my nature has always been wired to engage resistance. It’s how I find truth and alignment. I think we need to be challenged, because that forces humans to consider and question the vibrational tones they produce, and their inner alignment, beliefs, and opinions in any moment. When we speak, we are quite literally casting spells out into the universe. We could create with pure intention, but early on in humanity’s journey we received a spell book – and that spell book is now distorted.
Precision in language, when used consciously, aligns thought with truth. Words are frequency tools. And if we use them clearly, they will help tune our collective signal closer to love and truth.
So no, I wasn’t trying to be semantic or nit-picking. It’s just how I make sure truth and understanding line up for everyone around me. I like to examine how belief, vibration, and perception shape language.
Remember, energy work isn’t just meditation or movement – it’s also in how we think and use language. The words we use aren’t just how we communicate, but how we evolve. Every sentence we shape shapes us back.
Maybe the point was never to play semantics, but to remember that every word is a mirror of what we choose to create, and that’s all I was being for my father in those moments.
